Origin Gran Reserva Pinot Noir

Origin Gran Reserva Pinot Noir

100% Pinot Noir.

$5,245

This Pinot Noir Origen is a cool-climate wine, born in Malvilla, San Antonio Valley, just 5 kilometers from the sea. The terroir is coastal dryland with deep clay and silt soils, and areas of calcareous soil that provide a distinctive minerality. The cool maritime climate, with fresh temperatures that allow for slow and elegant ripening, is key to its freshness.

Harvested manually in the last week of March, its production is delicate, with a 10-day cold maceration and manual pigeage for gentle extraction. Aging for 8 months in third and fourth-use French oak barrels seeks to polish the wine while respecting its fruity character and freshness.

With a brilliant ruby cherry color, this wine stands out for its aromas of sour cherry, herbaceous and spicy notes, with an earthy background that adds complexity. On the palate it is fresh and highly expressive of fruit, where notes of pomegranate combine with a vibrant acidity that gives it tension and a long, refreshing finish. It is suggested to serve at 15-16°C, being excellent to complement grilled salmon with quinoa or seared tuna with soy sauce.
