Amber Syrah

Amber Syrah

85% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

$5,194

This Syrah originates from the vineyards of Melipilla, in the Maipo Valley, on granite and clay loam foothill soils. Its terroir is marked by its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, which moderates the climate with morning fogs and cool breezes, creating an ideal environment for the Syrah grape to ripen slowly and develop its characteristic spicy profile.

Manual harvesting takes place in the second week of May. Winemaking includes a 3-day cold maceration to extract color and aromas, followed by controlled fermentation. 50-60% of the wine is then aged in used French and American oak barrels for 8 months, which integrates the flavors and softens the tannins.

With an attractive dark purple color, this wine offers aromas of black fruits, black pepper, violets, and tobacco. On the palate, it is very fresh, with an acidity that frames the fruit flavors and fine, soft tannins that give it structure. It is medium-bodied and finishes with a long and fresh aftertaste. It is recommended to serve at 17°C, ideal for pairing with smoked pork ribs or grilled provolone cheese.
