Amber Merlot

Amber Merlot

85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah.

$4,794

From Melipilla, in the Maipo Valley, this Merlot is a wine that expresses the freshness of its coastal terroir. The granite and clay foothills soils provide a base of structure and minerality. The Mediterranean climate, moderated by mists and Pacific breezes, allows for a slow maturation that develops complex flavors and round tannins.

Manual harvesting takes place the last week of March. During its production, a cold maceration is performed for 5 days to intensify its aromatic profile. 60% of the blend rests for 8 months in used French and American oak barrels, a technique that seeks to soften the tannins and add a layer of complexity without dominating the fruit.

It presents a deep ruby color and offers aromas of black fruits, plum, spices, and cedar. On the palate, this Merlot stands out for its good balance, with soft and round tannins, rich acidity and notes of black pepper and flowers, along with a delicate hint of vanilla. It is recommended to serve at 17°C, pairing excellently with roasted pork loin with apple puree or mushroom risotto.
