Vitrum Premium Syrah

Vitrum Premium Syrah

85% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 2% Viognier

$12,344

This Syrah from the Vitrum line is a powerful expression of the Maipo Valley's coastal terroir. It comes from granite slopes with decomposing rocks, a soil that imparts structure and minerality. The climate, with morning fogs due to Pacific influence, ensures a slow ripening that forges a wine of great concentration and aromatic complexity.

Harvesting and manual selection are carried out during the second week of April. Its vinification includes co-fermentation with Viognier and cold maceration to enhance the aromas. The wine is aged for 14 months in first, second, and third-use French oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and achieves complete integration and great evolution.

Ink-colored, dark and dense, the nose offers layers of berry aromas, black pepper, and floral notes, framed by complex notes of tobacco, cedar, and vanilla from the barrel. On the palate, it is expressive, with black plum notes, a smooth texture, and firm, ripe tannins. Its finish is long and fresh. It is recommended to decant and serve between 15 and 16°C with braised wild boar or an intense blue cheese like Stilton.
