Amber Chardonnay

Amber Chardonnay

100% Chardonnay.

$5,194

This expressive Chardonnay originates from Melipilla, Maipo Valley, from foothills vineyards with granitic and loamy-clay soils. The maritime influence, marked by morning fogs and cool breezes, is essential for preserving the acidity and aromatic freshness that characterizes this wine.

Harvested manually in the second week of March, its winemaking process is unique: 20% of the blend ferments and ages for 2-3 months in French barrels with bâtonnage, adding volume and complexity. The remaining 80% stays in stainless steel to maintain its fruity character. It is important to note that it does not undergo malolactic fermentation, thus preserving its vibrant acidity.

Pale golden in color, the nose offers aromas of ripe pears, pineapple, and honey, along with notes of nuts and a subtle toasted background. The palate is medium-bodied, balanced by a fresh acidity that highlights flavors of ripe and tropical fruit, leading to a long and refreshing finish. It is suggested to serve it chilled, between 10 and 12°C, perfect for a Chilean abalone gratin or chicken with cognac and duchess potatoes.
