With a record 18,250 wines from over 50 countries, the Decanter World Wine Awards 2023 has awarded 13 gold medals to different Chilean wines, including Guillermo 2018 with 95 points. Our second icon and most recent release, a Carmenere-based blend from the coastal area of the Maipo Valley.
Decanter, one of the most influential wine competitions, has detailed the following:
“Expressive nose with pleasant aromas of violets, ripe black and blue fruits, vanilla, cedar, and elegant hints of pepper. Delicious and fresh, with fine tannins.”
It is an honor for us to be part of this select group with Guillermo's first vintage.
It is undoubtedly a source of pride for the Chocalán team, and a great recognition of the work we have developed over the years.
