Vitrum Premium Mediterranean

Vitrum Premium Mediterranean

70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Viognier

$17.490

This wine is a Mediterranean-inspired blend, born in the coastal terroir of the Maipo Valley. It comes from granite slopes with decomposing rocks, a soil that provides minerality and character. The climate, with its morning fog due to the influence of the Pacific Ocean, allows varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Viognier to ripen slowly, developing intense aromatic complexity.

The grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum time for each variety, between March and April. Vinification is creative, with a co-fermentation of Syrah and Viognier and a 30% whole-cluster fermentation of the Grenache. Aging is done separately: 8 months for the Grenache in used barrels and 12 months for the Syrah-Viognier in French oak barrels (10% new).

Intense purple-red in color, the wine is dominated by Grenache, with aromas of black fruits, violets and a mineral touch, followed by notes of white pepper and plum compote. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, with the Syrah providing structure, the Grenache freshness and the Viognier a floral note. We recommend decanting and serving between 15 and 16°C, excellent with Valencian paella or lamb chops with rosemary.
