25 Mar Exclusive release, new Origen Laderas del Maipo
After 25 years making wine in the coastal area of the Maipo Valley, we have decided that it’s time to show a wine of high technical quality, but in the same time reflects the essence of the work we do day after day, year after year, in knowing the slopes that give home to our vineyards.
A tribute to our terroir…
A blend made up mainly of Merlot, but its composition will change year after year. Grapes from 1.2 hectares of our vineyard, planted entirely on hillsides with different slopes.
A limited edition under the Origen Gran Reserva line, which comes to mark our 25 years and deep knowledge of our terroir.
COMPOSITION 2021
70% Merlot – 20% Cabernet Sauvignon – 7% Cabernet Franc – 3% Petit Verdot.
WINEMAKER´S COMMENTS
Dark garnet in color, Blend Origen 2021 born in a fresh vintage, based in Merlot, this wine is dominated by floral aromas with black plums, leafy herbs and cherry liqueur scents. Followed by layers of black chocolate and refreshing notes of mint. On the palate is rich, lush and velvety, with a long and textured finish.
SUGGESTIONS
Serve at: 17ºC. It pairs with cheese, Emmental or Brie. Meat pies, red meats, lamb, pork, deer, and wild boar. “Empanadas”.
