Origen Gran Reserva Syrah

Origen Gran Reserva Syrah

85% Syrah, 7% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Viognier.

$9.990

This Syrah Origen is a wine with a marked sense of place, from Melipilla in the Maipo Valley. Its terroir, with granitic soils at the foot of the mountains and a strong maritime influence, creates the perfect conditions for slow ripening. Morning mists and cool breezes allow the grapes to develop an intense concentration of fruit and spice.

Harvested by hand in April, the wine is made with a 7-day cold maceration to enhance its aromatic profile. Eighty percent of the blend is aged for 10 to 12 months in French and American oak barrels, which integrates the flavors and adds complex notes of vanilla, roasted coffee and black pepper.

Deep, dark purple in color, the nose offers aromas of violets, ripe plums and mineral notes. The palate is ample and concentrated, with balanced acidity and soft tannins that give it great structure. The finish is long, fresh and fruity. Best served at 17°C, pairing well with grilled entraña with chimichurri or lamb skewers with mint.
