PROJECT

Toro Harnecker

In 1998, the Toro Harnecker family, iconic producers of glass bottles for the Chilean wine industry, decided to realize the dream of using their bottles to bottle their own wine.

They decided that the hills of Chocalán, in the coastal part of the Maipo Valley, were perfect for producing high quality wines.

CONCEPT

REFLECTION OF AN ORIGIN

Chocalán is the name of the town where we are located. Expressing in a sustainable way the stories of the land, the people and the place we inhabit is a fundamental part of our project.

IN THE WORLD

OUR PEOPLE

A unique place, made by its people

At Viña Chocalán we respect the place where we are located. Not only ecologically, but also humanly.

We employ spouses, siblings, cousins, families that generation after generation have worked at Chocalán, forming part of an essential component in winemaking: the influence of the people.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are committed to the SUSTAINABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT of our wines and we have the Sustainability Certificate granted by Wines of Chile through its R&D Consortium.

Since 2006 we have been certified to ISO 9001 - QUALITY and 14001 - ENVIRONMENTAL standards, respectively, and in 2007 we obtained our certificate of compliance with the CLEAN PRODUCTION AGREEMENT (APL), which was validated by different governmental agencies in the country, such as: Undersecretary of Public Health, Superintendence of Sanitary Services, National Environmental Commission and the Agriculture and Livestock Service.
