Syrah Reserve

Syrah Reserve

100% Syrah

$6.590

This Syrah from the Reserva line comes from the Maipo Valley, from vineyards planted in foothill soils of granitic and clay loam origin. The coastal terroir, influenced by the proximity to the Pacific Ocean, presents mist and cool breezes that allow for slow and complete ripening, ideal for the Syrah to develop its spicy and fruity profile.

Harvested by hand the second week of April, the wine is vinified with a 3-day cold maceration to enhance its aromas. Forty percent of the blend is aged in used French and American oak barrels for 6 months, which adds a layer of complexity and structure, softening the tannins.

The wine displays aromas of black fruits, black pepper, violets and tobacco. On the palate, it offers great freshness, with fruit flavors framed by tension-giving acidity and fine, soft tannins. It is a medium-bodied wine, with weight, and ends with a long, fresh finish where the fruit reappears. Best served at 17°C, it is a great choice to pair with gourmet burgers or grilled beef skewers.
