Origen Grand Reserve Pinot Noir

Origen Grand Reserve Pinot Noir

100% Pinot Noir.

$9.990

This Origen Pinot Noir is a cool-climate wine, born in Malvilla, San Antonio Valley, just 5 kilometers from the sea. The terroir is a coastal dryland with deep clay and silt soils, and areas of limestone soil that provide a distinctive minerality. The cool maritime climate, with cool temperatures that allow for slow and elegant ripening, is key to its freshness.

Harvested by hand in the last week of March, the wine is delicately vinified with a 10-day cold maceration and hand treading for gentle extraction. Aging for 8 months in French oak barrels of third and fourth use seeks to polish the wine while respecting its fruity character and freshness.

With a bright ruby cherry color, this wine stands out for its aromas of sour cherry, herbaceous and spicy notes, with an earthy background that adds complexity. The palate is fresh and fruity, with notes of pomegranate combined with vibrant acidity that lends tension and a long, refreshing finish. Best served at 15-16°C, it is an excellent complement to grilled salmon with quinoa or seared tuna with soy sauce.
